Registered Risk Practitioner (RRP)

​The Registered Risk Practitioner scheme recognises and rewards CPD and professional standing in risk management.

A little about RRP

Developed in conjunction with fellow risk consultant associations, Airmic and the Institute of Risk Management (IRM), our RRP scheme is open to risk practitioners from across private and public organisations, Third Sector and Blue Light organisations.

RRP status is awarded to corporate risk practitioners who can demonstrate that they have:

  • A risk management or related qualification
  • An agreed level of professional experience
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Achieving RRP status provides a recognised competency level for risk practitioners. This carries with it a number of positive benefits, including:

  • Demonstrating competency levels for the purposes of internal or external audits
  • Enhancing profiles with employers, clients and other stakeholders

  • Encouraging individual professional development.

Here at ALARM, we're committed to providing exceptional learning opportunities for all members and driving best practice. In order to apply for or renew RRP accreditation, risk practitioners must fulfil two primary criteria:

  • Holding eligible qualifications, or an appropriate level of professional experience
  • Demonstrate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in the field of risk management.
