ALARM back to basics insurance course

ALARM, in partnership with Risk Management Partners, is delivering a Back to Basics Insurance Course. This course is aimed at local authority and blue light insurance professionals who have little experience of policy construction and wordings.

The course will include interactive sessions using case studies and examples giving delegates practical hints and tips on what they should be looking at, what they should consider including in their insurance strategy and policies, and how this should also link to their risk appetite.

Key points that will be addressed:

Focus more around the ‘why things are done’, and also how to challenge such thinking. An example would be say a property schedule, do ALL buildings need to be insured for their full value and for what perils? Would debris removal be okay?
Provide insurance teams with the confidence to ask questions internally and externally with their brokers and/or insurers.
