E-SCOOTERS: RISKS AND KEY CONSIDERATIONS FOR LOCAL AUTHORITIES
E-scooters may be an efficient and environmentally friendly way of travelling, however as a relatively new mode of transport, there are still many questions about their risks and implications. Kathryn Oldfield, Partner in Kennedys Local Authority division and Niall Edwards Partner in Kennedys motor division will provide an overview of the legal position and the various local authority e scooter trials and rental schemes and the experience to date. They will explore the concerns and risks that arise from a local authority perspective and where claims may arise and how best to minimise these.

FOREST SCHOOL RISKS
Forest school is a concept that describes a long-term outdoor education process that is holistic and learner-led. They help children to achieve personal and social development, learn about the natural environment, and learn problem-solving skills. Bryan will discuss the various risks that should be assessed to ensure the wellbeing and safety of children and staff.

GLOBAL RISKS, LOCAL IMPACT
The pandemic has shown how global risks can impact on local services and communities on a large scale. The 2022 Global Risks Report highlighted the top global risks for this year. Anthony reviews these risks and explores their impacts at a local level.

PANEL Q&A
The Q&A will focus on impacts of inflation on insurance premiums and how that also affects long term agreements.
