This would include initiatives to mitigate emerging threat, risk, and harm. This could include strategic, operation, health & safety, or project innovations. Entries will be judged on the success of the initiative in mitigating organisational risk and improving outcomes for the organisation.  

Entries should include: 

  • The risk(s) identified and the reason(s) the initiative was necessary 
  • The strategy and processes used in the planning and implementation of the initiative 
  • Evidence of stakeholder engagement 
  • The resultant output and how this has positively impacted on improving organisational efficiency and effectiveness.

This would include initiatives that help deliver better services with improved outcomes. This Award recognises innovative approaches to improving resilience. This would include initiatives to respond to and recover from incidents. Entries could address the ability to absorb, recover, adapt and/or transform. Entries will be judged on the success of the response and recovery and how this has improved organisational resilience.  

Entries should include:  

  • The reason the initiative/approach was necessary 
  • The response of the organisation 
  • The interaction with stakeholders 
  • How lessons learnt informed changes to planning assumptions to improve organisational resilience.

Entries in this category could deal with uncertain social and/or environmental events.  Entries will be judged on the success of programmes that have made a positive difference to the sustainability of your organisation or the services it provides.

Entries will be judged on evidence which demonstrates how this individual has engaged in, promoted, and developed opportunities to improve risk management.

  • How you have become engaged in the risk management process 
  • How you have demonstrated enthusiasm and innovation in your role; 
  • Evidence of stakeholder engagement
  • How you will innovate within your organisation and wider sector.
