This session will cover claimant market for data breach claims and the reasons behind the increasing volume of claims being seen in this area. Dan and Hollie will look at some typical claim examples and explore the factors to be considered when looking at quantum and the position with regard to costs.
Hollie has worked for Zurich since 2017. She holds a Law with Business Degree from the University of Portsmouth and a Diploma in Insurance, currently studying towards her Advanced Diploma. She has experience of handling all types of personal injury claims from low value to large and complex claims. Hollie joined the Specialist Claims Team in 2021 and handles a portfolio of complex claims in the following areas including Data Protection Act 2018, safeguarding/social care, clinical negligence and Equality Act 2010.
Dan has been working in the insurance Industry for 22 years and joined Zurich Municipal claims in 2006 and has had a number of roles focussed on operational delivery and technical excellence, in addition to managing portfolio of higher value and complex claims on behalf of public service customers. Dan also had responsibility for Technical Training and took a key role in designing and delivering Zurich’s award-winning Licence to Handle programme including the authoring of two CII accredited modules. Dan joined the Zurich Municipal CRM Team in June 2022 and currently looks after customers in London and the South east.
