Durham University has been exploring ways in which to improve links between its risk management and integrated planning frameworks to enhance the depth, quality and comprehension of both processes. Join Chris and Alicja in this interactive session where they will outline the benefits of greater alignment between these two aspects of strategy delivery and how joining forces has helped to promote a greater understanding of the role departments and faculties play in the achievement of strategic objectives.
Alicja joined Durham in 2024. She has extensive experience working in higher education, leading high performing teams and delivering change in the areas of planning, business intelligence and statutory returns. Her previous roles include the Head of Planning and Analytics at Lancaster University, Head of Data Analytics at the University of Plymouth and planning and analytical roles at Oxford Brookes and the University of Oxford.
Alicja's professional interests lie in delivering novel, optimal ways of measuring performance, developing KPIs, contextualising quantitative findings with qualitative research to provide holistic actionable recommendations and through this creating an evidence-based decision-making culture in the organisation. Her research interests include HE policy and practice and widening participation in particular, focusing on outcomes of underrepresented groups.
