In this session, Sandra will explore the fundamental principles of what it means to have a good risk culture and how to embed it within your organisation. Sandra will then go on to talk about engaging with different types of stakeholders and how to employ a variety of communication techniques, such as visual aids and interactive exercises to cater to diverse learning styles. Successful risk management relies on effective communication and engagement and the session will give attendees a chance to question their own organisation’s risk maturity level, identifying the key factors that contribute to a mature risk culture, such as risk awareness and risk assessment processes.
Sandra is a seasoned professional with a proven track record in local authority digitisation, lean reviews, and software rollouts. Her experience as a Risk and Governance Officer with Internal Audit has equipped her to excel as a risk management consultant at JCAD.
In her current role, Sandra leverages her expertise to assist clients in optimising their risk management processes and frameworks on their RMIS. Her responsibilities extend beyond technical know-how, encompassing strong client relationship building and the delivery of comprehensive training and support. With a strong foundation in lean methodologies and digital transformation, she brings a holistic approach to risk management.
