With a clear focus now on climate change, clean air and energy security and with local authorities playing a crucial role in helping this transition this creates a new and complex risk landscape for those embarking on new project(s). Carl will look to cover some of the differing challenges some technologies bring and how these risks can be mitigated and transferred to ensure we continue to deliver on our net zero targets whilst maintaining stakeholder confidence.
Carl Gurney has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years and specifically in the Renewable Energy Sector for 20 years. He has sat on advisory boards and steering groups, whilst also consulting on policy and permits with government and regulators. Carl has written a number of articles and spoken at numerous events explaining the important role the insurance industry plays in helping to mitigate climate change and securing energy security.
